Stacey Worthington
"Citrus County has always been my home, and the call to serve has long been a driving force in my life."

Coming up short in the election in 2022 was not a setback; it was a turning point. I needed to better understand the concerns of residents and listen more closely. It also gave me four years to expand my work in the community with local organizations and observe the Board of County Commissioners in action.

These experiences revealed clear opportunities to lead with solutions.

Business & Leadership

As a small business owner, I’ve spent years managing budgets, payroll, and operations. Chamber of Commerce leadership showed me ways to develop productive partnerships and affiliations. I met large corporations, small shops, new ventures, and non-profit organizations, realizing varied and unique value to the community in each model.

Serving on the Planning and Development Commission gave me experience with zoning, construction, variances, and balancing growth with community benefit. Common sense was a common thread in all successful outcomes.

Our Forever Home

I am a proud Crystal River High School graduate and earned a B.A. degree in Accounting from St. Leo College. I married my husband Mike and together we own Worthington A/C & Heating in Homosassa where we live, work, and invest in our community every day.

Citrus County is our forever home. We want the very best for the community because we plan to retire here, just like so many families who are counting on thoughtful leadership today to protect tomorrow.
